	Chemistry professor Phil Crews receives outstanding faculty award Fostering the growth of many young scientists and his renowned work on the chemistry of marine natural products are only a couple of the many contributions Crews has made to help earn him the 2008-09 Outstanding Faculty Award from the Division of Physical & Biological Sciences.
	Scientists propose a "genome zoo" of 10,000 vertebrate species. An international consortium of scientists co-led by David Haussler plans to assemble a genomic zoo--a collection of DNA sequences for 10,000 vertebrate species, approximately one for every vertebrate genus.
