Todd Lowe receives Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowship

Todd Lowe, Assistant Professor of Computer Engineering (and affiliated with the new biomolecular engineering department expected to be approved in Fall 2003) is the recipient of a prestigious Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowship. The award carries a grant of $40,000 over two years. Selection procedures for the Sloan Research Fellowships are designed to identify those who show the most outstanding promise of making fundamental contributions to new knowledge. The Fellows, once chosen, are free to pursue whatever lines of inquiry are of the most compelling interest to them. Twenty-six Sloan Fellows have won Nobel Prizes later in their careers, and hundreds have received other honors.
